Humanitas asked Vandejong to re-develop their brand concept and proposition. We developed a strong, unified concept that empowers people to change their life.
Insight & strategy
Humanitas is a complex organization with many different departments. In addition, they work on different themes in society every year. This led to a fragmented identity within the organization. Many people knew Humanitas only by name and it was often the case that even the volunteers did not know what exactly Humanitas does.
As society is changing, Humanitas is changing. That is a challenge for communication. But what is the one thing that remains the same? What didn't change over the years? It is the way Humanitas approaches problems: they help you to help yourself. That is why we came up with the concept: Tools for Change.
Result and impact
The Tools for Change concept turned all communication means into means that could be the first step in helping yourself or others. It united the volunteers throughout the Netherlands and clarified themes ranging from emancipation and home finances to loneliness and education.
Problem? No problem. Humanitas inspires and encourages people to take control of their own lives and change the difficult situations they are faced with. With the tools developed by Humanitas, you can change your life by yourself, or together with one of the 11,000+ trained volunteers.
Vandejong looked into what binds the association as a whole. Humanitas does not see people as victims but as powerful beings in charge of their own lives. Humanitas provides temporary relief and gives people the tools to address their own problems: Tools for Change.
